Maarit Aura is a young, aspiring mezzo-soprano from Finland.

Her repertoire is a mixture of baroque, the classical period, Italian bel canto opera and French romantic opera. Apart from having performed several opera roles, she has given hundreds of lied concerts, and continuously extends her lied repertoire.

Maarit Aura recently completed her voice diploma with excellent grades and received her Master's degree in the autumn of 2011. Her career and studies have taken her throughout Europe, South-America, the Middle East and Africa.

Maarit Aura has a contract with the Swedish Theatre of Helsinki for 2012. She will perform in Fröken Julie opera of Ilkka Kuusisto in Austria at june 2012 . She will sing the role of Miss Julie.
